How to choose the right format for your poster?

The display, whatever the format of the poster, has always been and still is popular in Oakville and Brampton. The artistic advertising poster is at the exact point of meeting between the need to promote service through a printing company or a product and that of doing it in a way which "redeems" its mercantile side. So that we could and we can still speak of advertising art for the most creative posters of them.  Hence the question: which poster for which display format? Let's say, to keep it simple, that there are four main types of formats made by printing companies depending on the location of the display.

1.Smaller posters

The poster is a poster, rather, of small size. This ranges from all the formats in A: A0 for the largest, A4 for the smallest, including the A 1 formats, A2, and A3The poster format is suitable, primarily, for internal displays.

  • Its design can be purely professional and informative by printing companies in Mississauga such as the unadorned posters describing the barrier gestures to be respected in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic.
  • It can also take the form of a decorative poster by a printing company in Brampton. In this case, its display is essentially internal. It is used to give a nice touch to a room, bedroom, living room, or bathroom of a house or an apartment. Or to a particular space, for example, a waiting room, meeting room, or professional stand, of a company.

2. Large posters

The advertising poster is, in principle, of large format. Minimum dimension B0, B1, or B2. But, in general, it is stuck on large panels, installed in strategic locations, by the roadsides of Brampton or Mississauga.

3. Cinema poster dimension

It is a particular form of a poster. It constitutes, in itself, a particular genre. As elsewhere, all posters relating to cultural events: concerts, festivals, plays, exhibitions. Or professionals like salons. Cinema-type posters necessarily reproduce the codes specific to their theme and have a format largely corresponding to the scale that the organizers, managers of cinemas, show agents, museums or associations, want to give to their event.

4. Metro poster format

The poster is located on a "large crossing" of pedestrians on the platforms of a metro station or near bus stops. The problem is different from that of a display intended for motorists.

In summary: the main principles for choosing the right poster format

Even if there are trends specific to each type of poster, all formats are possible for a poster. Even the biggest. Which is rather reassuring. All the more so since the poster enjoys a particularly favorable reception. Overall, the more people you want to reach and advertise, the larger the poster must be, creative, and widely distributed. We can immediately see the consequences in terms of the budget.
